On December 17, 1972 John Abraham was born to Mr. Abraham and Phiroza. After completing his schooling from Bombay Scottish, he graduated from Jai Hind College in Mumbai. John further went on to do his MMS from MET. It was in the year 1999 when he won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest and went to Singapore for the Manhunt International where he won a second place. With his interests inclining towards acting and modeling he joined the Kishore Namit Kapoor acting lab where he successfully completed an acting course while juggling modeling assignments.
His debut in Indian cinema was in 2003 with Jism that not only was a success but even won him critical applause with the Best Debutante award. His negative performance in Dhoom was also appreciated and since then his fan following has only increased. Irrespective of his movies like Zinda, Taxi No 9211, Baabul, Kabul Express and Salaam-e-Ishq: A tribute To Love doing better in the overseas market, it only proves how he is capturing the International market as well.
